User-Generated Content (UGC) & IP Policy

At Duomachina, we firmly champion the sovereignty and economic independence of African artists, filmmakers, writers, and cultural practitioners. **You retain full ownership and copyright of all original content you create and upload to Duomachina.** Submitting your films, editorial essays, sound recordings, photography, or digital artworks to the Platform does not transfer copyright ownership to Pluggedspace LTD. You remain free to publish, exhibit, monetize, or license your creations through other channels.

To operate our streaming player, format content for varied screen resolutions, and distribute cultural media across global devices, you grant Pluggedspace LTD a **worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable (subject to Section 4) license** to: - Host, store, transcode, cache, encode, and transmit your media files; - Stream, display, and publicly perform your audio, video, and visual content on duomachina.com and authorized platform players; - Generate promotional thumbnails, previews, trailers, and snippets to feature your work within platform recommendations, search results, and Duomachina editorial showcases; - Sublicense technical distribution rights strictly to our essential cloud and CDN infrastructure partners (e.g. AWS S3, Cloudflare) solely for technical delivery.

When uploading or submitting content to the Platform, you represent and warrant that: - You are the original author and sole copyright holder, or you possess all necessary licenses, permissions, releases, and clearances from all rights-holders (including sampled music, synchronization rights, voice actors, and filmed individuals); - Your content does not infringe upon any third party's copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy rights, publicity rights, or moral rights; - Your content complies with all applicable Nigerian laws (including the **Copyright Act 2022**) and international treaties; - Your content does not violate our **Community Guidelines** or **Acceptable Use Policy**.

You may delete your uploaded content or request account deletion at any time via your Studio dashboard or by contacting **support@duomachina.com**. Upon deletion: - We will promptly remove the content from public discovery and streaming indexes within forty-eight (48) hours. - Archival backup copies and CDN edge caches will be purged in the ordinary course of infrastructure garbage collection (typically within 30 days). - If your content was previously purchased as a permanent digital download by a patron prior to removal, those existing patrons retain their personal archival access in accordance with digital consumer rights.

We recognize the vital importance of artistic integrity and attribution. Duomachina commits to: - Clearly displaying creator credits, artist names, director titles, and collaborator roles alongside published media; - Maintaining creator watermarks or signatures where provided; - Never materially modifying or distorting the artistic substance of your work beyond technical transcoding requirements (such as resolution scaling and adaptive bitrate compression).

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pluggedspace LTD, its affiliates, directors, and employees against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and legal expenses arising out of any alleged intellectual property infringement or lack of necessary clearances in content uploaded by you.
